Treatment Guidance & FAQs
Anyone over 18. Anyone with vulnerabilities must be accompanied by an adult.
Results are immediate for some treatments, while others may take up to one week depending on the procedure.
You will receive a leaflet explaining possible symptoms depending on your skin type, such as minor swelling, redness, tenderness, or itching. Long-term care instructions are also provided.
Avoid aspirin or other anti-inflammatory drugs (ibuprofen, Advil) before treatment, as they can increase bleeding/bruising. Avoid alcohol for 24 hours prior to some procedures. If you have a history of herpes/cold sores on your face, inform your GP at least a week before your appointment.
Micro-needling creates controlled micro-injuries in the skin to trigger collagen production. The result is smoother, firmer, younger-looking skin, peeling old layers to reveal fresh skin. Procedure lasts 30–60 minutes depending on the treatment area.
The procedure is generally well tolerated. You may feel slight pricking or warmth. Skin may appear pink (like sunburn) for a few hours. Minor bleeding or bruising is possible depending on needle length and treatment area. Slight tightness or itchiness should subside in 12–48 hours. All treatments include a consultation first.
